Born in Bandung, 10 October 1972, Taufik graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Padjadjaran, Bandung, majoring in Criminal Law (S.H.). During his studies, he was actively involved in Student Adventure Club know as "Palawa Unpad".

Before establishing Nugraha, Leman & Partners, Taufik previously worked at "Monang Saragih & Partners", and afterwards, at "Frans Winarta & Partners", he became expert in commercial litigation as well as criminal litigation.

He has been one of the legal counsels of Prof. Dr. Ir. Rahardi Ramelan, M.Sc. In a high profile "Bulog" case, and along with other lawyers involved in "TNI vs. the Washington Post" case, he was awarded by the Commander in Chief of the Indonesia Armed Forces for his legal assistance in this case. Recently, he was appointed by the Commercial Court of Central Jakarta as Receiver in bankruptcy case of PT. Dirgantara Indonesia during September until October 2007. He is also a member of Indonesian Bar Association (IKADIN).
